The price is right, not tight! Surprisingly, the fruits and vegetables look fresh. I paid for the same bag of avocados at FB, almost 2 bucks less than at Walmart. I am so upset to be leaving such negative review on this specific Food Basics but last couple times i’ve gone there since it is one of my favourite places to shop at, one of the newer workers Id say since i’m a regular customer and i’ve never seen her before, was so rude when i asked for help even telling me to go find the item i was looking for myself and that if i had an issue with it i could go “cry” about it to t... read more.

"Fantastic gem. We stopped in here on our way back from Detroit. The owner served us, and was very down to Earth. Not to mention the food was great. You could tell he was passionate about his food. Update: It's now under new management, but they have tried to keep it the same as before. They even respected the prices which is appreciated. I think they now put a little more donair meat too, which is an added bonus."
