What User doesn't like about Portofino Pizzeria Deli:
The Italian sub was disappointing, as it was bland with only salad and sliced ham, mortadella, and prosciutto. There was no cheese or tomato, which was a letdown.
The pepperoni pizza slices were also not up to par. The cheese was overly salty and the pepperoni did not seem to be cooked properly. The crust was thin and the overall taste was terrible. I would not recommend ordering this.

Margherita pizza the worst I ever had. my daughter liked her cheese pizza. margherita pizza was very dry without taste. 1st and last time!
Stopped by for the first time. I'm really picky about my pizza. Pizza was wonderful. I asked them to cook it well done, i like char on the crust and the pizza was fantastic. Thin crispy and the dough is fantastic. I also ordered the meatball sandwich. Honestly, the best meatball sandwich in Long Beach! The bread was on point. Crusty but soft inside and the meatballs with the marinara was tasty! Highly recommend Portofino ?
There is a lot to like about this place. Usually when a restaurant is not busy during peak hours it is not a good sign, but I stopped in for lunch anyway and I am glad that I did. I ordered the sausage and peppers sandwich and a drink. My brother ordered the torpedo sandwich and a drink. Both sandwiches were filled with generous portions and fresh, high quality ingredients and the bread was crusty on the outside, soft inside and delicious. The drinks were serve yourself and in a real glass not a paper cup. Wine is an option, but it was a bit early for me. I don't live nearby, but the next time I am in the area I will certainly stop by and try the other menu items. Overall I consider Portofino Pizzaria to be a true gem ?.
I had been here once b4 was not happy w/ food. I had to have a test was near so we stopped by again. My Bro (meat ball) was so happy, my Sub was great (no mayo), eat here!
First time here and the Alfredo and Pesto sauce has booming flavor. And an actual Italian cooking. Hands down just became my go to spot for pasta.
