Jolly Good has been a favourite of mine for at least 15 years and has never once failed to impress. A few friends have also mentioned it's their favourite Indian restaurant too. No complaints here! View all feedback.
Absolutely horrified they took our booking to start with. When we arrived at 7pm as booked could not believe the restaurant was crowed for a family members child’s 1st birthday which I felt given the current times if they wanted to do such a thing then close the restaurant to the public I had to hit a ballon twice away from our table food We had 3 boys just standing right at our table blowing party whistle there was really no supervision of all the children they ran a muck like you do at a play centre or party but not a restaurant opened to the public Mind if a health worker came I was scared of being fined as there was more then 20 alone just with the families of the owners The Food Firstly was told not to order the banquet as they where busy as I booked for the banquet for 3 at 7 I had to insist this is what I made a booking for which made the evening kick of horribly We then sat there for nearly 40 minutes for the entree to come out warm Then we where starting to think they forgot about mains as over 30 minutes before we got them Not only left disappointed but with a headache
Very good Indian option! This was our first visit and even though the name made me wary there was nothing but jolly goodness here! The staff were nice and polite, and the food was excellent. Will definitely be back! I especially loved the fish curry!
We ordered takeaway, so cannot comment on the ambience or service. Our food was delivered promptly and was still hot. The garlic Nans were delicious. Buttery, garlicy and charred nicely. The curries, however, were all only reasonable to good. Some were a little too oily and the flavour base of many was too heavy on cumin. However, for a local takeaway and for the price it is a very good choice. Just not consistently amazing. Hence 4/5 from me.
This was the best Indian food we have ever tasted. We even got a complimentary rice. When the manager found out how far we had walked because we did not know where to park, he instructed a staff member to drive my husband back to the car so he could come and pick me up. We will definitely be back the next time we are in the area.
We stopped in for a quick dinner on a weekday night. The restaurant is comfortable, but nothing at all flash, and is located in front of a motel on The Entrance Road. The curry puffs were delicious, but our vegetarian curries were not great. I think these might have been their regular curries, just without the meat, so next time we'll make sure we order something from their large selection of dedicated vegetarian dishes. Service was prompt and friendly, and the price very reasonable. We'll definitely be back.
