We used to live in Lumsden, and moved away to BC 15 years ago. We were in Lumsden for a visit and decided we had a craving for pizza. The Lumsden Valley Restaurant used to make great pizzas. We ordered a meat lovers, and it did not disappoint. Great as ever. Today while the chain store pizza shops are skimping on the toppings, the pizza we had was loaded, and the sauce was super. Some remodeling required here and maybe some waitresses with smiles on. Lunch for four was a bit disappointing. The fish and chips special was not worth the 9.95 due to the fact that the fish was actually just small strips and not fillets and it tasted old. Chicken strips looked far better as did the poutine and the gravy was good. Soup was also good. Overall giving it an average mark but wouldn't highly recommend. read more.
