"Absolutely fabulous, this is the best restaurant in the Macedon areas . very professional and welcoming. eating is absolutely beautiful, I love everything on the menu. the sashimi is so fresh and tasty. all the information that the staff has to drink about the wine are amazing, no matter what they need to drink or know about food or alcohol, the personal is very informative. I recommend this great restaurant."

"I went here today for lunch for my Grandma 's birthday, and honestly I could not fault it.<br/ The staff were attentive, the atmosphere cozy, 'French ' yet unpretentious.<br/ <br/ The Cook, Annie Smithers, worked wonders in the kitchen. There is a set menu for parties of 6+, but they thoughtfully cater for those with dietary requirements by calling in advance. The twice cooked cheese and truffle souffle was mouth watering, but my favorite dish was the slow cooked lamb. I 've tried to do slow cooked lamb before and it just didn 't compare! Talking to Annie afterwards she told us her secret was her home made veal stock, which gives it a richness and gorgeous flavour. <br/ <br/ I am running out of adjectives to describe how delicious the food was, I can 't recommend this restaurant highly enough! Superb restaurant, I can 't wait to come back at a different time of the year to see what Annie creates with her summer produce.<br/ <br/ The restaurant is only open Friday to Monday for lunch, so it is essential to book well in advance, as you will not get a seat if you just walk in off the street. <br/ <br/ <br/ <br/"

"Super sad to review negatively but really didn't have a great meal ordered beef korma, butter chicken and they were really over sweet in taste (actually couldn't eat the korma). Also, the korma only had 6 small beef pieces and was swimming in sauce. The butter chicken was more generous, but still not the standard in other places we have bought from. I think its important to share this so it doesn't continue. The rice and samosa were fine.The staff seem lovely, the website was easy, the prices were ok, so if this could be adjusted then i am sure it would be a great place to eat."

"Thanks so much to John and the staff at RedBeard Historic Bakery. John, an amazing and funny tutor, a wealth of knowledge that he chooses to pass on. i had the best time and learnt so much. John the leaven is on the kitchen side and will be fed and looked after from tomorrow onwards. For anyone who would love an amazing day of learning, laughs and a beautiful lunch book yourself in for a workshop."

"Disappointing would be a good way to start. Stayed in Daylesford and couldn't get into a pub for lunch so we decided to stop at Trentham on way home. The Plough seemed to review well. First off we couldn't get a table for two at a country pub without a booking! Really?! I stood at the bar for 5 minutes waiting to order. About six staff members were around but did not make eye contact. Finally a staff member tried to offer me someone else's bill and only then was my order taken. Food was ok. Chips were really good but that was the highlight. Burger was ok but terribly overpriced at $29. Cottage pie was also ok. Some very dry meat pieces suggested it was overcooked and badly reheated. Once again really overpriced at $22. I would suggest a meat pie from bakery would be better and considerably cheaper! Lastly we finished our meal with really weak and watery coffee and hot chocolate."
