What User likes about La Cala:
I got the name of this restaurant from another tourist when I did my research about Madeira and we weren't disappointed. It is packed with locals which in our opinion, it's a very good thing. We had limpets, lapas and grilled fish. Good garlic bread. The food is very tasty. Don't expect a fancy restaurant. Convenient location, right on the main street. We stopped there on our way to Sao Lourenco. Good prices. View all feedback.

What User doesn't like about La Cala:
We were taken here for lunch by a local guide on our day out around the island. Food was fresh, and enjoyable particularly the lapas, and the shrimps. A real local eaterie. Great value for money as each dish cost around 5 euros. View all feedback.
