This is something of a continuation of my review of the Castle Hotel. The food is excellent! We stayed at the Castle and ate dinner and breakfast numerous times. "Well others have reviewed the diving and the resort generally so all I’ll say about the resort is that the rooms are good, the dive facilities are all great, the reef is just WAY beyond beautiful and the staff are all genuinely friendly, knowledgable and...really helpful! So this review is just about the resort restaurant...this was my third holiday at the resort, over the last few years. I ate all my meals there for the week I was staying and every day I tried something different. The food was consistently good very tasty, served quite quickly and they really make the most of local flavours and fresh local products. It’s a mixture of local and international cuisine and the Asian flavours are really authentic. The Aussie chef and two wonderful Filipina chefs do an amazing job with presentation especially the one and only ‘dopeyburger’ and their famous banana or mango floats. I’d only complain that my stomach wasn’t big enough!! The restaurant is small but also has dining outside on the verandah, which has the most spectacular views (and sunsets over Sogod Bay. There is a reasonable selection of drinks from the bar, and everything is very well priced, especially for that standard of food. All in all I’d thoroughly recommend SBSR restaurant!!"
