"Really great spot for some really great chicken. Hush puppies are fantastic, and the southern side of me loves fried tomatoes. Don't know if I can't justify a $13 price tag for one big tomato and some batter to fry in, but they will most certainly hit the spot if you're looking for comfort food.Only ever had one bad experience at Champys; my most recent visit. There were only four of us but somehow all four orders were completely wrong. In our waitress's defense, she was training someone and was dealing with a 15 top next to us. Having been in the industry for some time myself, I can relate to the chaos she must have been experiencing. However, she didn't write our orders down, and I can't help but feel like we wouldn't have had the wrong food brought out if she had. It always irks me when wait staff doesn't bother writing down orders for future reference. Especially when the food comes out wrong.All that said, I'm still giving the place 5 stars because I e NEVER had a bad experience prior to that, the wait staff is ALWAYS awesome and kind, and the food is phenomenal. Will definitely be back."

"Went here for my son's birthday. Everyone liked their food, and the service was quick and efficient. We mostly had sushi. Prices weren't bad for what you get. The wife enjoyed her salad with ginger dressing. We will go here again."

"Great place to relax at the end of the week. Found the Stem and Stein on UrbanSpoon (where else? and checked it out for my last night in Madison. Love the low key atmosphere, the live music and the great selection of beers. For me, the food could be improved, but the atmosphere and the great quality beers really made up for what the food lacked. It's not that it was bad the menu was clearly designed primarily as an accompaniment to the beers and wines they serve. The food isn't the main reason to go there. The service was pretty good in my opinion. The wait staff was there when I needed wanted them to be, and I was never left waiting long. I would definitely recommend this spot if you are looking for an interesting glass and a great, funky neighbourhood bar to hang out in for a couple of hours."

"My wife and I tried this place for the first time today. Wow!! This is delicious Dominican food. You must try the Plantain Chicken Sandwich, unbelievably good! The owners are super nice!!! Service is exceptional as well. 100% be a regular here. Please Huntsville/Madison, let's patronize this place. We are so lacking in cultural foods in this area. We've already lost Cuban Cafe, we can't afford to lose another."
