the restaurant overlooks a pretty lake and marina as the sun set it was breathtakingly beautiful.
we have not been in some yearsalways loved the schnitzel.

"Great food, great atmosphere. The all you can eat Pickerel is outstanding, amazing schnitzel and the best tasting veggies eve, crisp, crunchy and packed with fresh taste. Wonderful food!"

"New Bar at the the swiss country house is a very pleasant place to spend time with friends and family. The addition of Wing night on Wednesday and Sunday nights is a bonus treat. The wings are juicy and crisp, with a selection of flavours. Their Fresh Cut Fries are super and I must add the best I have had in a long time."

"Over the past few years, we have enjoyed dropping into the Ridge for dinner, or coming down by boat for a beer and wings on the patio. The views and atmosphere are beautiful, the staff is fun, and the food is good.This year though the menu has been shortened, and has gone more upscale/fine dining.I'm sure there are some that want and appreciate that, but when I am up north I am trying to relax and enjoy myself, not looking for a "pheasant under glass" type experience.I have only gone once this season and likely won't go back. I was told that they don't serve wings after 4pm? At a golf course? They used to have good wings, and an appetizer platter for people to share, but no longer.Disappointing, hope they find new owners and then maybe a new direction for the restaurant that is more welcoming. I will say we can't thank them enough for what they offer on Canada Day, whether you are a guest at their BBQ party, or if you simply come down the bay to enjoy for the fireworks."

"It's a Monday! Quiet Bay Café is OPEN!!! ... the food is amazing, it's homemade, it's fresh, and it's a happy place! It isn't poured out of a box into a fryer! .... I am low carber, I truly enjoyed the double banquet burger no bun) with a side salad... and I received my lunch, just the way I asked for it! My friend enjoyed the all day breakfast, REAL homefries, quality bacon and sausage and no up charge for rye toast! It was perfect! Thank you, we needed this in our area! See you soon!"

"This little hamlet is tiny but well serviced. They have a community hall, park, gas station/diner and the tavern/Inn. We stayed at a cottage locally and thought with the amount of cars we'd give it a try. It overlooks the harbour and that is pretty. There are plenty of tables of the simple fare - no table cloths or rolled craft paper. There are a couple of pool tables, shuffle board and a well stocked bar. The food is your local tavern food and the waitress was polite. We ordered wings since there were other reviews about them on this site. There was no wait as we were first tabs of the evening. House wine was fine and inexpensive to purchase. Several flavors of wings but all in all nothing to write home about. Good but not outstanding in flavor or size. It was getting quite busy by the time we left and you could tell by the familiarity they were locals and regulars. I can see why some may have had to wait as there was only one cook. When busy that would be quite a load. Nice little place for a drink and bite to eat."

"Excellent eating, cozy atmosphere, prices are reasonable, quality and quantity are good. loves the homemade tartaric acid sauce for the fish. wants the recipe for it. schnitzel is excellent and also fish! I would go every day if I could!"
