After deciding late to get a bite in downtown Mahone Bay we realized almost every restaurant was closing for 9pm. Bayside is now a Pizza, Donair & Beer cafe. We had hoped for a more traditional meal but, was happy to find some kind of hot food. I anticipated tearing off any wheat product to make do but, was happy when they offered up gluten free crust. Ya! Service was fast, the Pizza was Fresh but, my mans Thin Crust... read more.

In Bayside Cafe & Dairy Bar in Mahone Bay, they prepare delicious pizza using a traditional method, served straight out of the oven, The barbecued food is freshly cooked here on an open flame. You can still relax at the bar after the meal (or during it) and enjoy a alcoholic or non-alcoholic drink, This sports bar is a popular hangout for visitors who enjoy watching the latest games or races on the big TV while enjoying food and drinks.

"There's nothing missing from this place. Quality coffee made properly by friendly people. I especially like that they've teamed up with 2 of the area's finest establishments for their baked goods and lunches. The atmosphere they've created in a refurbished barn is welcoming and comfortable, spacious and cozy. I'd move in if I could."

"I 'm all for Rebecca 's and wish them great success. The owners have done an exemplary job of trading up the boring interior of their new location for a colorful, interesting vibe. Great job on the renovations! The service at Rebecca 's is prompt and responsive. The food needs some attention. The salad was beautifully presented but the dressing needed a little livening up. The sandwich I had was slippery and I didn 't care for it at all. I will return to this place knowing that it will get much better as it goes along. It 's a welcome larger restaurant for Mahone Bay and the repairs they are making to the building will make it as attractive on the outside as it is on the inside. I went to Rebecca 's at their NEW location a second time this summer. The decor at this location is finally living up to its potential and the inside of the restaurant is super pleasant. There is also a stone patio with a wonderful view of Mahone Bay. Still, based upon the comments of my fellow company of six, I think Rebecca needs to totally rethink the menu over the winter and opt for very high quality pub food reminiscent of the Knot Pub in Lunenburg. God knows the local pub is awful, Rebecca 's sole Mahone Bay fine dining wannabe rival is mediocre at best, and the field is open for a really good BASIC food offering in Mahone Bay. Rebecca 's now has a wonderful space and she can make it happen if she chooses."

"We've been going here for years for fried seafood. It's always good and prices are generally better than in nearby tourist destinations like Mahone Bay or Lunenburg. The view is hard to beat, especially if you manage a table by an oceanside window in the small dining room. It's too bad Tripadvisor doesn't allow ratings in half-star increments. This is a 3 1/2-star place."
