yummy chinese food during the new year especially Thai style red curry, it tastes good. staff and chef are very nice, they are very worried that eating is good or not. because I don't eat bamboo shooters, so I tell them they take it out when I put my order. they are very welcome to do it. we are getting back very often! thanks for feeling like the taste of home. Unfortunately the results from Hanwah seem to have become rather variable, which is why I have knocked a star off my previously rave review. The first disappointment was a lunchtime meal with notably reduced quality overall. The second was a bank holiday weekend, when previously reliable lemon chicken was ruined by a sauce so bitter that it might have been just lemon juice and nothing else, and not for the first time the egg fried rice, instead of being white and fluffy, was dingy brown and gloopy. Time of day or busy periods (though it actually didn't seem that busy) should not make such a huge difference.
Still great. Come here whenever we're in the area which sadly isn't often as we are from the US.

I thought we would give hanwah a try when a menu fell through our door. since steve left. really impressed, good quality eating, very tasty and generous portions. I loved everything.
I had a fantastic time during my visit! I ordered the house special chow mein, fried vermicelli Singapore style, beef ho fan, and mapo tofu, all of which were delicious. Keep up the great work!
