Port Phillip Estate really set the bar high for everyone else to try and meet. The staff were excellent, they responded to all of my requests (it was my partners birthday) they helped to make it a very enjoyable night. The food and wine was incredible, highly recommend. View all feedback.
What Simeon Hilpert doesn't like about Port Phillip Estate:
in the rule they visit this restaurant twice in year, but never again. starter had no interest. the main kingfish was over boiled and only lukewarm was probably too long sitting on the side. vegetarian chief was boring. Cheese plate was okay. the norms have fallen considerably. overpriced for what we have, what such a scandal in the face of the beautiful location and great wein. in the environment there are much bett... Came here for a wine tasting and maybe a bottle of wine. Well, apparently you can not order bottle wine, unless it is in the restaurant prices, you can not have coffee (even for the named driver), unless you eat in the restaurant, and when you get there at 3:45 pm , the preparation of closing is started. From the 3 wineries I went today, that was the only one who did not tell me what wines I drank. If it was not for the look (and the wet table, I received after I asked for the chairs to the table while she wrapped at 3.45), it would be a 0. At 20 Bucks a glass for the time I could not buy, buy the bottle and lack of coffee I could order because I had not eaten there, I did not want to eat here or try again. It is a shame, the place that is beautiful and is worth the view. Shame people who manage it, it has no idea how it works.
Pity!!! Stunning, fantastic beautiful place - Went for a special jubilee dinner when the phone booking was explicitly asked if there was "nicer" places to sit, and was said that they have a nice fit. Well, it would have been nice at the window or near the open fire, instead we received the first table from the kitchen Hmmm. In recognition, it is a cooler June eve, it was in this huge dining area Frigid, at a point where the air cash was entered, and it was unbearably cold, and we had to ask that it was discontinued. Grief The food - we decided for the triangle, I started with the "healed Cobia, Kohlrabi, lemon, algae". There was literally zero taste, to every part of the court, I do not know how it was healed, but it was so Fad, I did it enquierler and was said that it's just the way it is! I guess it that it could be subtle, there was no taste, which is so ever, and I really do not know what part of the court algae was ??? - However, there was a white cabbage in a dressing that was more of a Naff Slav, I will add, I have never replaced a meal, but this was a waste of fork to the mouth. Grief Our young women's server was very nice, friendly and attentive, in contrast to the older female server and I assume that the male restaurant manager does not even take care of the effort when we had enjoyed our meal when we paid and had left a tip !! Grief The subsequent offers were just fine, unbelievably my cheesecake desert was the most saving of all dishes, and not on a good way, there was absolutely no sweetness. The food was really Fad, there was a very little balance between hearty sweet salty - there were no spices, thank goodness for salt on the table. If I thought that the presentation was the main goal above the substance. And taste, but even the presentation on the plate was hitting. Grief I would quite suggest that the boss tastes all all dishes he sends out. Grief So disappointed in our special evening, here wanted to dine here for a long time, still the venue is still pretty special. Grief
The building is impressive and both the restaurant room and the wine test room offer panoramic views of the vines. The service is excellent and attentive. Food is delicious and reasonably priced. We tested a fast wine before we put ourselves for lunch, which was great. Perfect place for lunch with friends or family. Special comment to the desserts ... Devine !!

Review from January 2017 Is there a better lunch view in Victoria than that in Port Phillip Estate? Rolling vineyard hills, unloaded sky and a tiny view of the western harbor bay in the distance. The food is also quite great. This diner obsessed at Pasta decided for two of her three courses made of new dishes. #Sorrynotsorry Only up: Queensland tensioner crab, Nero pasta, puff-free, crustacean crushes. And follow: spaetzle, heritage cauliflower, capers, brioche, olives.
