Modern China Restaurant - Makati

First and last time we ate here was when this resto just opened. My husband and I, being fond of Chinese food excitedly went here with our children. When the food came, we were all so disappointed about their serving size albeit its relatively high price. After that experience my children would always remind us not to patronize their restaurant. Then we noticed that they have downsized and made the resto smaller. Now we all know why! The food was not even exceptional.

Went here on a Sunday night with my family to have dinner. Luckily we were accommodated right away without making any reservations. I was surprised that Modern Sichuan, which is located at BGC and Modern China is only one and they only differ in the name. The food we ordered were all ok, a bit of improvement on some dishes because some are too oily and some are too salty. Serving size could also do a lot better next time because the amount you pay for does not equal with the amount they serve.

My friend and i had the spinach shrimp dumplings and half pecking duck both were amzing. Iv had the dumplings 3 times. And the pecking duck was succulent and juicey. The remaining meat was mxied with diced vegies to put in lettuce up taste delicious and was light. I have also ordered take from the restaurant the mango shrimp and chicken satue is tasty stirfry dishes

Food was excellent! Serving sizes were appropriate. Quite expensive, though. Place is clean, airconditioning just right, but needs bigger space because a lot of big groups dine there. Worth re-visiting, if you have the budget :)

Good chinese restaurant, sits right below glorietta 4. More than enough servings for 3-4 pax. Must try their Fried Chicken and yang chow rice.
