We have never done a food tour before, so I am not an expert on these things. What I can tell you is that it was time well spent. Sharon is a great host and does her best to make sure you enjoy yourself, learn about the area, and get to try samples of food from the local shops. The place also offers the possibility to sit outside and eat and drink in beautiful weather.

What User doesn't like about Local Tastes Of Maui Llc:
Host stood us up. We showed up at the agreed meeting place at the prescribed time. I called the host 10 minutes after the agreed upon time. She called me back 15 minutes later and said she never got notification we had booked. Find that hard to believe given that I got an email confirm. Really disappointing because we planned our whole day around the tour. Avoid if you value your limited time in Maui. read more.

"What a special place near Paia and/or on the way to the road to Hana. You need a reservation here, although it wasn't a house when we stopped on Friday. The hotel is located in a reused general business, this place is full of charm. Make sure to see a back space filled with art from local artists. Always love a place that supports the local art community. Our server Betty was the best in class. She was knowledgeable, passionate and infectious. If you are happy enough to be served by her, you are in good hands! Chef Beverly Gannon deserves all the awards you will see on the walls because their creations are delicious. The menu has some of their dishes they say that you find nowhere else, but we did not try to give you a review. Ask what they are if they tickle your imagination. We had the crab pizza (discovered and delicious), the Paniolo BBQ ribs (wonderful) and the Chopped Chinese Chicken Salad (refreshing and crisp). We really enjoyed everything. We hope to be back to Maui during our next trip."

"One of my absolute favorite places we visited. The drive there was scenic and very enjoyable. So dont let the distance deter you from visiting this must see place. The mountain views were the most breathtaking I've ever had. I was in complete awe. We were able to walk around and enjoy all the lush greenery. We didn't take the train tour. We came for an early dinner. It's a bit pricey but well worth it. You will not regret it. One of the highlights of our maui visit!"
