"Joined my brother and his partner here while on holiday from Australia and had the best fish and chip meal ever. The fries were especially good. The fish was lightly battered terakhi. Delicate and ocean fresh. Really delicious."

"Everything we had was incredibly tasteful. the mushroom burger was the hands down what I ever had! they are very flexible when it comes to setting the menu and most of the elements in the menu have a vegan option with some automatic vegan items too. we drove back every day for a week to try different elements on the menu, as there were so many options to choose which were delicious, we could not have just one choice!"

"Great choice of curries, warm friendly service. I got take out didn't have to wait long. The Garlic Naan bread was spectacular with heaps of garlic just the way I like it. The portions were excellent all served with rice. I had the Saagwala Kadahi Chicken curries.....yuuuum. The restaurant bathroom were clean tidy albeit the dated decor, but in some ways that just kind of adds to the Kaiwaka experience. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was because the chicken was a bit dry."

"Even in a Waipu-wide powercut, their customer service was amazing! (as was their food! Our pizzas came nice and hot, and (according to those of us in our group who got beer the beer was really good. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant. 10/10, will come again! Kid-friendliness: Incredibly kid friendly Price per person: NZ$30–40"

"I've always enjoyed Bennett's.... Good food, nice setting and holiday atmosphere. Consider twice tho before going there on a public holiday cos they get flustered when there's a crowd and your order risks getting lost in the clamour"

"This is a great little restaurant, run by a lovely local family. The food was great, as was the service. We finished the evening with the chef joining us for glass of wine and a chat, which highlights how the place is friendly and down to earth. Pro tip; Ask about their meat pies that you can take home and enjoy they are fantastic too. P.s. It’s BYO, so dust off that good wine and take a long to enjoy with friends.
