The ancient inn to the garibaldini is a very cozy and warm place to eat in joy, in addition to the beauty of the place from the great historical value, also the kindness of the staff and the goodness of the dishes give this place an extra march. We have been living in the mantovanna for years and in our opinion the interpretation and quality of the mantovana cuisine proposed here has no equal in these areas. the appetizer with the gardener (really very balanced), the cotechino, the meats, the gras pistà and the polenta is the best ever eaten and the first dishes are magnificent, especially the capunsei, the duck noodles and the maccheroncini with the stracotto, following the pure mantovana tradition. don't waste time and book a table with garibaldini to have lunch or dinner in the true Matron style!

Sunday walk in the centre of mantova, for lunch we book at the restaurant at the central garibaldini and near the basilica of Sant'Andrea. Very charming historic place with three divided rooms, there is also a summer that with the beautiful and warm season must be very pleasant. Appetizers with cheeses and mustards, price not exceptional value. as first risotto with drunk, duck tagliatelle and green tortelli, all really very good, all accompanied by a very reddish wine cellar. discreet desserts, elvezia cake, good but perhaps a little too sweet, and a sorbet at Melone. To conclude, I must say that the garibaldini are a good address to taste typical mantovan dishes in a beautiful environment in the central area.
