"One of the things I used to enjoy about the Barrhead was the rustic, old Ontario tavern atmosphere. Draft beer, mismatched chairs, gouges in the tables and of course a pool table. Well folks, that is all history now. The historical charm is gone. They do have an outside garden/patio area which will be a positive when the nicer weather arrives. On a positive note the service was friendly and efficient. My buddy and I each had the Barr Burger which was good, although I'm still coming to grips that a hamburger is worth $18."

"Food was good and hot, it was generic frozen fries and frozen patty’s but they were cooked good so no complaints! Bill was $50 for a couple, and got 2 pops and onion rings to start! Staff was friendly and restaurant was clean! Would come...again!"

"This is a must after crossing the tedium of sw ontario and into the highlands before passing through the beaver valley to thornbury. all that is good about a small city, independent coffee shop: quality brews, a great chat and date place that are like lembas and keep them all day. If you want a good coffee, stop. it is from the city to the shopping center, just north of flesherton on hwy6."
