Saw this place on FB and decided to try it as there are no Portuguese places in Markham. Its a small cafe, and they only had all day breakfast on the weekend I went. I heard during the week there are more selections. The fried appetizers are delicious, one of the best I ever had, a bit on the pricey side but I guess you have to pay for hand made. I love the location of this bakery/ cafeIt's tucked away in a mini community by a walk in clinic, pharmacy, and dry cleaner.

I happened to find this little spot when I was in the area and I'm glad I did. I ordered penne with rose sauce.

"Mamajoun is a place I've wanted to try since they first opened. I finally got around to it!The place is part restaurant, offering Armenian pizzas and more, and part grocery store. Offerings include preserved meats and preserved fruits (jams) of all types.Our meal started with an order of Mante (beef dumplings). It was served in a tomato sauce with yogurt and spices. It was a great way to start our meal. Other choices included the Papajoun and the Armenian Pizza, both suggested by Mirhan and both delicious.The Papajoun was a flatbread pizza with ground beef, spices, and a red pepper paste. We added some hot peppers. It was folded and toasted, giving it a nice texture. Yummy!The Armenian Pizza was topped with soujouk (an Armenian sausage), beef, onions, tomato sauce, and cheese. The crust was good and the pizza was delicious!Their delicious food was very enjoyable! Thank you, Chef Mirhan!"

"At the beginning I like this place. We ordered pizza, shawarma and the famous ice cream but there was a very bad issue when I ask for a cup of just hot water and the owner charge me $2.10 just for hot water, I’m very disappointed they lost a good costumer with this miserable detail.Food: 3/5"
