"We both enjoyed our chunky beef and potato & pea pies....they were nice but nothing special. However, the chocolate eclair and caramel crunch slice were lovely....and many others in the cabinet looked great too. The service was efficient and the eat in area very clean and tidy."

"One meal was the steak with potatoes and vegies which was very good and cooked to liking. The other was seafood basket, asked for vegies instead of salad and told would have to purchase vegies ,dish had salad which I did not want and a dish of vegies why could they not have swapped them but told No. The prawns were still in their shell which dirtied my hands when peeling and no water to wash fingers, would have been better bread crumbed or battered. The fish and squid were very nice. Will have to try some other dish."

"We decided to eat here for lunch after we heard about the grapes that they serve great meals. I bought a chicken parma with salad and my wife had Thai beef salad. To be honest The Parma was the best I had in years and the salad was fresh and delicious. Unfortunately, Thai salad needed a little more dressing as my wife said it was a bit dry. The tavern itself is ok, but it lacks character."
