What Kenna Mann doesn't like about Taste of Texas BBQ.:
It's a 3 star for the food, definitely pricey for what you are getting. Ordered the brisket and it had no smokey tast and Ive had better tasting boiled meat.. It was a take out order and was told pick up in 30 minutes. Judging by the temperature of the food and how soggy and cold the onion rings were the order had to be sitting for 25 minutes. It might be better as a sit down but not worth the takeout. View all feedback. What Daryl Josh likes about Taste of Texas BBQ.:

We're visiting McCook Nebraska. The ribs are excellent and well cut as the sides. It is a meal that needs a take-home box to enjoy later
I had the 16 oz. Ribeye, Cole slaw, potato salad, garden salad and a roll. It was all delicious and perfectly made
Catfish was very good and the waitstaff was even better. This place has it all.

read moreTaste of Texas BBQ, located in McCook, Nebraska, offers a range of barbecue dishes that have received mixed reviews from customers. While some have praised the food as excellent, with standout items like the chicken, brisket, pulled pork, and ribs, others have found the quality lacking. Customers have mentioned issues like overcooked ribs, cold and soggy onion rings, and a baked potato that tasted like dirt and mold. Some have also criticized the service and cleanliness of the restaurant. However, positive reviews highlight the friendly service, home-style meals, and generous portions of food. Despite mixed feedback, many customers still consider Taste of Texas BBQ a go-to spot for barbecue in McCook.

The wait time was horrible and the food was below average. The hostess was really nice and doing the best job she could given the poor circumstance.
