I called a command to dinner. the order was ready to pick up in ten minutes. it was ready and waited when I arrived. very efficient and positive experience. prices are appropriate. View all feedback.
What Kathryn Romaguera doesn't like about Homestyle Fish And Chips:
I've been going into the house style for years, but I don't know what the hell they're doing recently? Why do I pay less? quality is about the same as before, but the proportions are significantly smaller, while the price has risen significantly. I literally got half of what I would normally get while I would pay more, I feel honestly demolished. I've never had this problem before. the next time I'm fishing and chips... View all feedback.

I literally got half of what I would normally get while I would pay more, I feel honestly demolished. I've never had this problem before. the next time I'm fishing and chips, I'm probably not coming back and I feel like most of the long-term customers would agree with me. also what fish and chip joint does not offer malt vinegar? Why?
The workers seemed rather unorganized. also questioning their cleanliness when I visited, an older man got some blood on the plastic barrier between the worker and the customers. one of the workers there, an older lady, wiped the blood, but not changed her glove after that. it looks like she tried to refurbish her glove, but hands-anitary does not work on gum gloves. she then went on to help the package and serve customers. the fish itself was ok, and the pommes were satisfactory, but nothing special. in any case will not go back.
Before the pandemic this was my place for fish and chips for 10 years. I recently went back to homestyle and had 3 times fish and chips from there in the last months and have found that the dings have changed. the prices have increased, which is understandable when considering the higher cost of the ingredients etc., but the service is definitiw not as friendly as before and the fish shares are significantly smaller. when ordering the squid and the pommes, instead of getting a short, plump piece of fish as in the past, they now get a long, very thin strip of fish that feels like more teig than fish that was not the case in the past. once I went in and put a walkable order and came back to see my order only that had come and ordered after I prepared their order and served first. as a result, I recently started ordering from another fish and chip place I think my new Go-to will become from now on.

It's not bad. This spot actually used to be my favorite spot for fish and chips in Mississauga because the deals were so unbelievably priced and the fries were addictive. I think the fact that the store owners know the regulars by name attests to the longstanding reputation of quality.Even after ownership changed it was still pretty good, but lately it feels like there are some problems with consistency. On my last visit the fries were undercooked and a little anemic and the fish portions definitely feel like they shrunk, which then of course leads to the fish tasting overcooked and feeling over-battered.All said and done, the value from the lunch deals are still pretty great and this is gonna continue to be my fish and chips spot until something better pops up.
