What Kevin likes about China Buffet:
I've been here a few times since it opened. This particular location has been through several different restaurants over the years and they've always been pretty good, I think the location itself is just easy to miss since it's away from the road a bit behind a corner. Buffet has a good selection and a good amount of seafood in particular which is hard to find in a buffet like this. View all feedback.

read moreEast Buffet in Tucson has become a favorite among locals for its vast selection of fresh and delicious dishes. Located slightly off the beaten path, this hidden gem offers a buffet with a good amount of seafood, making it stand out from others in town. The friendly staff, along with the option to have dishes made fresh upon request, adds to the overall positive dining experience. Regular patrons rave about the authentic and constantly refreshed dishes, including oysters, mussels, and clams. Despite a few minor hiccups in the past, East Buffet has managed to impress diners with its quality food, clean environment, and great value for money. Whether you're in the mood for teppanyaki, Chinese-American favorites, or a satisfying meal after a day of shopping at Tucson Mall, East Buffet is definitely worth a visit.
Just over three years later, here is an updated review: China Star is now closed (I mentioned it in my 2014 review).
I had heard some nice things about this place, so decided to give it a shot.
Should have changed the name to Old China! The food was below average and they charge for any wasted food (sign on the front desk).
