what a wonderful little jewel in monmouth. beautiful relaxed atmosphere and friendly staff. the slut, saw and jam was very tasty.

"We came to lunch today and that was just brilliant. Although the vegan menu is not huge (with two choices of starter, two main dishes and two desserts), it offers by far the best selection of aromas and ingredients that I have seen in every other carnivore / vegetarian / vegetable ice cream in this part of the world. and everything was so fresh, perfectly boiled and beautifully presented. the fact that the place is bright, clean and welcoming, and the personal helpful and friendly means that we will definitely come back here."

"The food was delicious, service and staff were just lovely. The log fire was gorgeous. The whole place was beautifully clean. Only downside was the incredibly bright lighting which made you able to count the wrinkles on your fellow diners faces and should you need to you would have been able to complete an intricate sewing challenge. Please switch the overhead bright white spotlights for reflected light from orange tone side lights and wall lights. It's beautiful what the new couple have fine with the place and the chef was fab, but the lighting made it feel like dinner in an interrogation suite. Make this one switch and this will be a truly fabulous dining experience with no faults."

"Indian menu at dinner had many interesting items and everything we tasted was delicious. service was friendly but not on a high standard. Unfortunately, the two cocktails we ordered were among the worst we can remember. Overall I recommend dinner, only not cocktails."

"Fabulous food and excellent service. A very last minute booking. We had never tried this restaurant before despite living in Chepstow for 4 years. We had a variety of starters and main courses all of which were delicious. We also brought our 4 year old...granddaughter and nothing was too much trouble. We will definitely be coming back soon and wish we had found this restaurant months ago."
