"Very nice country pub. Nice friendly welcome before being shown to our table. Couldn’t fault the service from the staff. We had previously dined in two other places near Alnwick but this was by far the best. The food was excellent. I had a superb seafood platter and my wife had the lasagne. With the size of the portions i was surprised we had a dessert but they were also very nice. On my next trip to Alnwick this pub will be first on my list for dining."

"Ordered tonight when it came was freezing cold so rang up and got a load of abuse. I said give me a refund so because of that he accused my partner of being drunk. Definitely won’t be back shocking behaviour"

"We found this place whilst staying in Felton for the week. Was so good we visited three times throughout our stay. Family and dog friendly, the staff were attentive, helpful and so good with our 5 year old. Excellent venue with the play area outside. Homemade wholesome food, made our way through the menu with toasties, quiche, and the soup was so good. The cakes are unreal, traybakes tasty and the cream scone outstanding. Doggie and kids menu are both brilliant. Cannot fault this place. Finished our week off with breakfast before heading up the road, full English tasty and the pancakes fresh. The wait for the food is because its obviously made to order. Recommend booking a table at peak times. We'll be back, thank you."

"As others have said, this is a big pub to visit and the vegan fish and chips is amazing. we also had to start the vegan gyoza and the boil soup that were delicious. eating is very expensive and the staff was very friendly and attentive. a must visit when they are in the opposite."
