This is a lovely restaurant in Castlemaine. If you want to try some locally sourced great food this is the place to go.
It's nice to treat yo'self every now and then so we opted for dinner at The Good Table to celebrate my 1 year anniversary of living in Victoria. The waiter

"Recent changes to this eatery had kept me away, but looking for take away for the family one night and picked up a menu... phoned my order ahead, and went in to collect. Food was ready, a quick run down on the new business model and I was good to go! Food was amazing, as it has always been. So no disappointments here!"

"Unfortunately we will not be back. we have eaten regularly here, every other week. eating is incompatible with coming and going from different cooks (and management has to wonder why the good do not stay! . last time we were there, it was a catastrophe and we went out, and we were not the only! we waited almost two hours and finally came a teller butterpastea for my 11yo and it was indefinitely uncooked and stuck together. and how hard is it to do that right?! the table next to us was served fish that was uncooked. the tables began to talk to each other, how bad that was, and we started to go. poor paul, head waiter and a nice guy...read more"

"Very busy Castlemaine Cafe with an arty/rustic décor. Popped in for lunch today was fascinated by the unique arty/rustic décor however my menu choice, their salmon dish just missed the mark, but the chips were to die for. My meal was served within 15 minutes of ordering. Young staff were polite, cheerful and very helpful overall I liked it will return in due course to try a different menu item.<br/ <br/ Phill Jury (food critic writer)"

"Ornate chandelier hanging from a steel beam warehouse inside seating resembles a saloon car on the Orient Express, carnival style striped awnings the usual Cafe seating outside might sound like an almighty clash but it does add to the charm of this Austrian Cafe in Castlemaine. Recommend the Debreziner. I would give hot choc a miss it was ordinary. You get a rousing welcome by usherer outside staff are great dressed the part."
