"We had been to Kaptans several times in the past and again the restaurant did not disappoint. The service was very efficient, courteous and prompt, without being rushed or overbearing. We had the Pate and bratwurst as starters and all had the schnitzel for mains. The schnitzel is great, maybe a tad over priced, but this is a snow town.Diners need to be aware that you must order a minimum of two courses (entree and main or main and desert, which can add to the cost for the night out. We noted that the size of the glass of wine servings were generous, which made them quite reasonably priced."

"Wow! Great bar, the cocktails were fantastic and bar tender very friendly and accomodating. The menu was absolutely delicious and wine paired perfectly. Highly recommend the tomahawk, honestly have not had a better steak. Beautiful room with a great vibe, especially because of the amazing staff. I’ll be heading back there soon, thank you Black Cockatoo!!"

"Anton Grimus and his crew will make you the best to go coffee on the mountain. It's so easy to find and get a great coffee that all the staff and guests to the mountain enjoy too. Just get off the shuttle bus at Pension Grimus and walk up to the Grimus Grind Window - who ever is on duty will make your coffee experience the best it can be! The locals trust it as the greatest so of course so will you!"

"We came for dinner, half the dishes where great and half where hit and miss. the tapas style menu was good for our group, and where better than the main meals which followed. <br/ <br/ not very impressed with the waitress we had, but service was fast. <br/ <br/ the restaurant is warm and well decorated"

"From the minute we arrived to the time, we were so impressed by the high service and quality of the food we were provided. We arrived at our booking early, but were not able to enter the restaurant due to COVID restrictions, so...the staff went out to make our short wait comfortable by bringing bar stool and table into a small area in the hall and our drinks order. We were just glad to be there, but that was such a nice little touch. We were efficiently maintained on our table and loved the traditional European interior design decoration. It felt secret and cozy. The menu was a fusion of modern Australian and Asian cuisine and we could not go past the Duck Spring Rolls and Ocean Forellentare to both begin, the absolutely delicious were perfectly flavored and so tasteful! Our main thing Duck Curry and Bannockburn Chicken were again incredibly delicious and so perfectly cooked. We didn't think it could be better and usually dessert is my least favorite dish when I dine, but again our expectations were exceeded when we tried the Vanilla Sake Panna Cotta and selection of ice cream. The Panna Cotta was the perfect combination of fresh flavors to finish the meal. Our only complaint would be that the meal had to come to an end. It was so pleasant. We don’t get to dinate often, but it’s still a rare occurrence to visit somewhere that absolutely perfectes their menu and performs it so well. Cudos to all employees to provide such a friendly, efficient service under difficult circumstances. Their positive energy was so beautiful. We recommend Chamois where you are guaranteed an amazing meal. We can't wait to come back."

"Enjoyed a beautiful 2 course meal (entree and mains) here. Wish we had room for dessert. Warm house made focaccia bread to start (complimentary) was beautiful. Entrees were perfectly sized and very tasty, wished the bruschetta had a hot element however flavours were great. Mains...were the highlight of the night with beautifully cooked duck full of flavour and delicious stuffed chicken breast with an INCREDIBLE beurre blanc sauce. Staff were great and made the experience very enjoyable. They went above and beyond with some samples of mulled wine we can’t wait to enjoy next visit!"

"Worst parmigiana I've ever had, almost dislocated a finger trying to cut it. Surely had to have been reheated or made from an extremely buff chook, and definitely not worth $36! Other food we had was also disappointing, there is better available elsewhere on the mountain.The place is super bare, basically decorated like a modern nightclub. It's a bit of a shame since they could have leaned in to the apres ski culture and made the place much more inviting"
