I had one of the lamb and rosemary pies. It was without doubt, the best pie i have eaten to date. I live about 80 kilometres from Aratula and would not hesitate...

For the truckies wife its a nice place to get a quick something to take back in the truck and keep going lol Loos are clean too

We should have listened and bought two of the Salted Caramel Cheescake Puffs! They were to die for!! Pies were great too

"The Royal did close for a short period, as stated by Noelene 61. However glad to say the doors are open again and the hospitality is still good old country style. The restaurant serves a lovely lunch from their fairly extensive menu, which is very reasonably priced. My wife and I have often taken our visitors for lunch at the Royal and everyone remarks about the good food. Sunday's can be quite busy so I recommend booking to be sure you get a table. I think its always best to call to make sure you can get in. Its a pleasant drive to the hotel so next time you're passing pop in for a pot and enjoy the country pub atmosphere.."

"Wife and I have eaten here on several occasions. The restaurant is not overly flash but it is clean and tidy. The food however is very authentic and always delicious.We often get take away, as this service is available. The staff are friendly and always accommodating, so when in Boonah and you're looking for a pleasant meal give this a go I think you'll be pleasantly surprised."
