Three of us ordered 2 gourmet pizza pies. The star is a Stella pizza- it was amazing, so many topings that melded well together. The arugula pizza is the other picture and again, plenty of toppings. Our waitress was very pleasant and the food and drinks arrived quickly. I highly recommend Amato's in Mount Joy! View all feedback.
What Ziona Pearson doesn't like about Amato's Wood Fire Pizza Italian:
The food was horrible. The drinks were mid and overpriced. I would not recommend for good food or a fine time. My waitress was very nice and accommodating though. View all feedback.
I had a great first experience here. I have the chicken Alfredo. The sauce was good and the portion size was good. The next day even had some to eat. My grandmother got the chicken parmigiana, which was also delicious. The only thing they needed was more sauce. My family always liked a lot of sauce. We also had a local taste voucher where you spend $15 and get $30. That's worth it.
Our first visit and overall it was a great experience. The food and service was excellent!
This place was AMAZING. I have a friend here for lunch a few days ago and we have so much food and I have no single complaint about any food we got for us and 4 children. Everything tasted phenomenal. Super hot and fresh, very tasty. Had a wonderful server standing on it in every way. Place wasn't dead, but not insane, where we had to wait for our food for a long time. Only all 6 of our meals come to us about 10 minutes. Will Def come back again and again
We finally tried to try Amato's. We have their wood-fired pizzas (yes it's a real wood stove... no gas) and we were impressed REALLY. For us the pizzas were comparable to LUCA in Lancaster City (seriously). I can't talk to the rest of their menu, but as far as the pizzas go... we'll be back!
I tried their new Pucce sandwiches and they are spectacular. It's fresh handmade bread for the sandwich cooked in the brick oven. Prices are slightly higher than your usual pizza joint (paid $12 for a sandwich instead of $9 at other places). But the quality and flavors of the food are totally worth it.
