Need to book - this restaurant was our 3rd option after the other 2 were already booked out. Went on a Saturday night and were not disappointed with the food or choice of local wines. Had Pork Belly, Fillet of Beef and Lamb rump - all great. The only thing stopping 5 stars was the service which was only above average. Seems hard for Mudgee to get staff to match the chef's ability. Monday evening, did not have a booking but table available. Sat down, 25 minutes later someone came to take our order, so we ordered drinks, entree and 2 mains all at once. Don't mind waiting too much if I have a drink in hand but 25 min. to have one ordered is excessive, particularly that a table that came in after us had their order taken before (probably because one of the guys was waving his arm around).
