"This lügnerin new house is a favorite of my friends (which I visited) and I can certainly see why. the service was wonderful and has even made helpful suggestions to help in selecting our participants. we enjoyed early roll to begin and had a...nice a lot of entrees. I enjoyed my chicken cashew court and had it with a beautiful fried rice. others enjoyed a noodle dish, a spicy bun favorite, and a sweet sour booze. all were delicious and well presented. I highly recommend it. I know my friends who live in the valley, go pretty much there. I'm glad they made me do it."

"Warm welcome and friendly staff. The food was prepared with love and was served very quickly. Top price-performance ratio. A short detour to Schori's Bahnhof Restaurant is definitely worth it. "Wonderful location in one of the better neighborhoods in Basel, old house with high ceilings, very nicely renovated and decorated. Very nice atmosphere. Food is very good. Asparagus amuse Bouche and coquilles St. Jacques were excellent. Also ribs were very good. Lamb was unfortunately not good, very strong lamb taste. Lemon desert was excellent. Overall very good food. Very poor choice of wine by the glass, the quality they offer is really not matching the level of the restaurant. Service is not at the level of a Michelin star restaurant, it is way too casual, sometimes you wait very long until you get served, they serve you over the table and not from the side, some of the staff are not overly friendly. The service is really the weak point, I have experienced this several times here. A pity as it is a lovely place with good food. If you love good food in a nice location and don’t mind casual service then you will like it."

"The menu had small symbols for the allergens, but there was a huge lack of variety. Only a dish and a sauce was gluten-free and the waitress was not very soothing for what her Allergen protocol was, but there was also a bit of a language barrier. I got the poke bowl with cherry sauce and it was refreshing, but the tofu could have been cooked more."

"The place itself looks amazing, it has a unique atmosphere. the service is fast, I was 3 times there and eating was always ready in 5-10 minutes. the burgers are amazing, can not get enough of it. they are a bit on the little side, but for the house it is still a really good thing!"

"The establishment had a sign showing that they serve warm food from 11:30-21:45, hence why we chose this place. When we went inside, we were told that they only serve from their small menu, and from it, even only a small section of it was possible. We requested to speak to the “boss”, who then told us that they’re short on staff on Tuesdays and it’s production day. After we replied that THAT is not our problem, she retorted with arrogance that we should go somewhere else. One of our professional backgrounds was in the hospitality industry (working in different countries too , and hearing such arguments that are even so weak (even coming from “the boss”! is an absolute no-go. In any case, arrogance in the “hospitality” industry is a paradox — it defies its meaning."
