What Chris H likes about Restaurant La Grotte:
Classic Swiss food at reasonable prices--by Swiss mountain standards anyway. Our meal was good but not outstanding. Staff is friendly and speaks English. The local beer is a delicious lager. Wine list seems good. We chose it because Rick Steves recommends it. Since we only spent 1 night in Murren I don't have a comparison to the other options. View all feedback.
What P D doesn't like about Restaurant La Grotte:
This place is very busy. Unfortunately, I can't rate it as highly as others. Amy son had the beef goulash and said it was good...particularly liked the sauce. I had the Rossi with spinach and fried egg. Unfortunately the rosti was quite greasy and not so crisp. Dessert was chocolate mousse and chocolate ice cream The mousse was quite good but the ice cream was the smallest dip View all feedback.
The service was superb and the food was delicious. Especially given that the price was only a little more than we paid at these places.
Cozy restaurant with great veal, steak and apple fritters.
