If you love Nashville hot then you'll love Helen's. I got the leg quarter combo and it was a monster chicken. My wife got the seafood combo with catfish/shrimp/lobster tail. It was very good. first and last time eating here. no ice, no fountain drinks, had to pay for each drink because of this. there was not a lot of flavor on the chicken at all. fries were great, however. also incredibly annoying that the cashier places a tablet on the counter and spins it around while standing right over it, looking at the screen and waiting and expecting a tip for just standing there...floors were also extremely dirty... I would give it a half star if I could. Food takes 40 minutes to come out and it was cold. They don't communicate anything and it's obvious their online orders are priority in this establishment. After having to ask where the order was we finally got something coming out. I really was excited to try a Hot Chicken place but it was a disappointment.
Second time coming here and it did not disappoint, friendly staff. I had the hot wings combo, not spicy for me a Mexican. Will be back
One of two locations in the DFW metroplex. After being introduced to Hot Chicken while living in Nashville I was excited to try it out. There are Helen's locations in TN, so I was looking for that authentic taste. I was not disappointed. Accessible location with good parking. Fast, friendly service and a clean facility. Ordered the whole wing combo with fries and one added wing (4 total . Four flavors (plain, mild, hot and hella hot . I chose hot. Food is made to order so prep time is about 20 mins, but worth the wait. Chicken was hot (both heat and spice! and crispy, and had that Nashville Hot Chicken taste! I would definitely recommend.
Love the flavor you guys! However, fries absolutely suck. Check this place out, but pass on the fries.
