The reason we go to Natchitoches. The food is the best southern comfort, Cajun around. If you're close, go. It worthy of the effort. Parking: There is plenty of free street parking, but it can be busy. Wheelchair accessibility: ADA compliant. View all feedback.
What Scott Leonard doesn't like about Lasyone's Meat Pie:
This place used to be a must stop, but I think their time has passed. The food was Luke warm, meat pies were overcooked, and poor quality vegetables in the salad. The dining area is run down and grungy. Sorry to say this will be our last visit. View all feedback.
The food was really good ? and the hospitality that I have been shown since I been going there is top knock ?
Quaint eatery near downtown Nachitoches. Known for meat pies, good ol' home cooking! Old place with great cooks wait staff! Popular place!! Parking: Street parking only up and down street or on side streets. If you've been downtown have no walking issues, you can walk there.
We arrived at 2:40 pm on a Saturday, not realising they closed at 3:00. We seated ourselves and my husband went to the restroom. The waitress came by while I was sitting by myself and asked if I knew what I wanted. I told her I didn 't, and was waiting on my husband. Her response was well, the kitchen closes shortly so I wanted to get your order in . My husband sat down and she immediately came back for our order. As we were eating, she was clearing tables, banging dishes in a tote, wiping tables, sweeping the floor all around us like she was angry. If I had it to do over again, I would have left and went somewhere else.
What a neat place with lots of history and great food. Perfect for a Northwestern State University student. Food prices reasonable but does not take anything way from the food. It was delicious.
Stopped by for a to go order for frozen meat pies. Nobody on the queue. Took 25 min. Nobody in that place seemed to care. Will not be back
