What Kyle N doesn't like about East Haven Tavern:
First and foremost, not kid friendly… Food was pretty good with a few items being fresh in house. Great location when traveling cross country and a hit for the locals which is a good sign! Staff was pleasant and honest with recommendations. Smoking allowed inside (fyi) View all feedback.
Had the special 1/2 rack of ribs without sauce, cottage cheese and frits. Very well prepared and I love how they serve food. The waiting staff (which does not seem to be right to call that they are so much more) was attentive without being annoying. My plate was taken away right away and they often checked to make sure I was okay. They had live entertainment with Tom Koenig, always great to see him and not only to hear great music, but also funny stories.
I love their Chicken Gizzard Basket. I got mine with fries and cole slaw. Finished it with sweet tea. Large portions made good for a snack later.
As we know smoking is still allowed in bars in new haven so thats a plus for us smokers, clean, good lunch menu , friendly waitstaff! Outdoor seating makes you feel like sipping in the shade !
Good food good service a place where I know my wife can go and not get hassled by men great atmosphere they watch out for you
The food and service has always been awesome. I love the new addition to the place as well!
