I went with a group of people for a festive lunch that was pre ordered so why it took so long to come out of the kitchen I do not know. The price was a bargain in fairness but still it would have been nice to have it in a timely manner. We waited 30 minutes for our pre ordered starters and once finished a further 30 minutes for the main course so my friend who hadn’t had a starter waited altogether an hour and 20 min... What healthandlifestyle doesn't like about Chesters:
Went round for Sunday lunch. The meat (lamb) was plentiful and soft and tender except with your eyes shut it could easily have been beef it simply did not taste of lamb. There was enough veg in the traditional plain boiled in water style which has been acceptable for 100 years so I guess that's ok. Nothing overall to complain about but not one of us could go home and say we'd had a really tasty lunch. View all feedback.

The restaurant has an area where one can enjoy at tables, and there's a counter where you can sit and eat. Babiesandtoddlers can sit in children's chairs (please inquire), Depending on the weather, you can also sit outside and eat.
