"My wife and I visited the Habesha with friends for dinner.I must be honest here, that I wouldn't have picked an Ethiopian restraint and really didn't know what to expect.Luckily our friends had been a few times and we let them pick all the nights meals.The staff were friendly and it was a surprise when the waitress came around with the wash basin and a warm pitcher of water. We all washed our hands and I realized then and there that there was not cutlery on the table.The food was very nice as we all tucked in with our hands and the bread which was more like a crape. The food was similar to Indian if you like spice. My wife and I love spice, so we were very happy.The food was very filling and quiet reasonably prices, the only negatives being the size of the restraint and the staff hurrying us up for the next sitting. This was very disappointing as we haven't see these friends for quiet a while."

"We stumbled on Bar Petite somewhat accident despite it being next door to the Novotel Newcastle Beach where we were staying. We are so glad we did. Despite being a Sunday evening there were a number of other parties eating and drinking in this rather funky bar/restaurant. We shared a number of small plates and I have to say the food was outstanding. We loved everything about the place and will definitely return when next in Newcastle."

"A warm welcome by the Ka-fey cafe team. The reuban sandwich was my pick with the 72 hour cured meat that was tender and delicious. I also tried a Waldorf Smoothy. ..WOW! the service was fast and friendly, the team had time for a chat even though they were busy. Thanks for lunch, I will be back"

"We ended up at this place through a random Google search for Halal food. Very pleasantly surprised by the friendliness of the staff who helped us place our order (we had 3 kids so it took a while) and ensured that we don’t overspend and...explained the kids menu to us. The burgers were quite nice. We had 2 kids burgers, cheeseburgers and The Rascal along with a serving of fries. Burgers were really good and they went well with their pleasant outdoor seating. *the only improvement I would suggest is reviewing the portion size for their fries."
