Visited for a drink and a meal whilst staying locally. Car park available (smallish) steps down into rear of pub with very friendly staff, although it went a bit quiet when we entered which is a sure sign of a local pub. It was our first time at the pub, the beer was good just don’t eat there, I opted for the ribs and my wife the Steak Ale pie, the Ribs were terrible, dry and very poor, in fact probably the worst ribs I’ve ever had, the steak and ale pie was also shocking, the meat was almost nonexistent and very chewy and the peas were hard, I haven’t given this review lightly but the food was very poor.
