fabulous friendly welcoming pub! 1. visit the tavern for me. mama and daughter eat! log fire (bonus) and a warm welcome from the nice barman! excellent menu choice, we decided for the midday special 2for£10 excellent choice I had bovine casserole and the daughter had chicken casserole wow! well presented and a very good portion size! tasteful! we managed to make it fabulous in a dessert chocolate cake and ice! "An Early morning start having decided to take the pooches for a well deserved walk. I never start the walk without stopping here first. The location is lovely, the people are lovely and the food is excellent including a decent flatwhite. You need to visit if you are in the area."

"Couldn’t have found a more lovely place for a family meal-wish we’d found The Ivy house earlier…We were greeted like family members,you can feel yourself relaxing instantly,the whole vibe of the place is chilled,intimate and so welcoming. The menu isn’t large,which,personally is a great thing, food was fresh,beautifully presented,delicately flavoured to bring out the best of what you were eating. There’s a fantastic chilled lounge next door,all Indian rugs,lanterns,cushions and lights..half open to the elements…unfortunately it was a bit too chilly to sit there when we went,but can imagine that it’s wonderful on a warm Summers evening….It’s definitely n o t designer,thank goodness,but if you like something a bit different,with amazing food,then go! There’s plenty of parking,just an all round brilliant place..Thank you so much for such a happy evening."
