The Mountain Room Peak Lodge - Newry

The foie gras was dissappointing. I had it there, mountain rooms, two years ago and it was fabulous. what I got yesterday was a thick piece of toast with foamy sauce. when I asked where the foie grass was the server said it was installed in the sauce. 18 dollar toast what I expected or described on the menu. I wanted to talk to the cook, but he was very busy and her website did not give any comments. the pork taco was very good, small but tasty and the cäsar salat was great.

BEST ski lunch in years. My husband enjoyed the **** Mary with a brag worthy snack stick that was a small appetizer. The Ricotta toast was fluffy and rich and was shared by our table of 4. The Duck Breast with whipped potatoes and a glass of Pinot Noir was best within 50 miles. We brought out of town guests as a treat and LOVED IT.

Toasts are great, high quality ingredients. Drinks are delish. Staff is friendly and attentive. This is a must go for us each time we come up to Sunday River.

I tried all the ski season to get to this place and finally did and loved it. Big tuna, toast and tacos. Nice beer selection. You saw someone who drinks a cocktail and realized they don't have a cocktail menu — and should. Only case is that they are open only until 3:00.
