"BAD EXPERIENCE. Overpriced, the price-performance ratio is not worth. The back shed where we sat was cold and uncomfortable Rude staff at the end, as they only wanted us to pay and get out. "Very casual dining, some low tables, some at decent height. A busy spot, with families, kids, high chairs, hustle and bustle. Food was really excellent. Starter of salmon was plentiful, very well presented, and very tasty. Veg soup was very good, came with a lovely...crispy crouton, which would have been great with the salmon. Chef please note. Fish of the day was a stir fry of prawns, with noodles, veg and a soy sauce, very good according to wife. My chorizo carbonara was possibly the best carbonara I've ever had. I asked for the recipe but I'm still waiting. Desserts were good, though relying a bit heavily on chocolate. A bit more variety would have been better. A good cheeseboard, with plenty of Wicklow cheeses, rounded off a meal that was up to the standard of the more expensive Hugo's Michelin Rosette main restaurant. I'll be properly happy when I get the recipe for that Carbonara though."

"The happy pear is a great place! The food is delicious and the service efficient. There was quite a queue when I arrived but they were fast and I managed to order my sandwich in no time. The bread and the tempeh tasted great and my brownie was excellent! The place is really colourful and decorated in a very nice way. The fact that it is located in Graystones is a bonus!!"
