And yes - they did! Locals in Normanton recommended the Central for a meal and their advice was good. Friendly helpful staff were the beginning of a very pleasant dining experience in this historic pub. The barramundi when it arrived to our table was cooked perfectly. If you are travelling up this way and staying a night or two, we thoroughly recommend the Central. View all feedback.

The bar - the host here is very friendly and helpful. Restaurant - I wanted barra, but it was all gone - get in early. I guess I should have gone for King Salmon, but I went for garlic prawns instead. It was okay, topugh I thought rice and chips was an odd combination. My glass iof wine was quite pleasant. 10hr of driving to turn up and find out our booked room has been given away. Very poor communication and service

"Worst pub food I have ever had in my life. Horrific, I feel sick now. Burnt to a crisp chicken parmi, soft and old ‘hot’ chips for the kids meal. Not even my kids could finish their meal. Barman a great bloke, wait staff lovely, can’t fault them at all. Food on the other hand an absolute disaster."
