"This is a pub with a very relaxed atmosphere. It was full when we arrived, so we ordered a drink at the bar, but had to wait for only 5 minutes before we were shown to a free table. As they had a very busy weekend (bank holiday), they had run out of the portobello, red onion and avocado burger, so we ordered a haggis burger (which is also vegan) and Moroccan tagine instead, and soup of the day as a starter. The food was very tasty and filling, but it's a pity they can't do a vegan coleslaw, which isn't more complicated than the non-vegan version (vegan mayo is available in every supermarket nowadays). The staff was very helpful and friendly, we very much enjoyed our stay here. We'll definitely go back the next time we visit Arran. Updated from previous review on 2018-09-10"

"Fantastic tea shop. Always come here on our annual trip to Arran. Everything is tasty, hot drinks are piping hot and all is great value. Can highly recommend the cheese scones, best my wife has ever had and she has had plenty(!! . Tunisian polenta cake is delicious and flap jacks are outstanding. Can't wait to come back next year."

"Lovely place to eat, especially for couples. All 3 of our courses (and wine) were delicious, it was a real treat! "Nice friendly staff. It was busy but the food brought to us in good time. Homemade burger was great, also had soup which was tasty! I had a flat white with oat and my wife had a chai latte with coconut milk both were very nice"

"This fantastic restraunt was highly recommended by the camping site, which is right next to this wonderful eating establishment. we were not disappointed, I personally think it should be renamed the jewel of arran. eating was absolutely amazing and the service was the second to none."

"Very comfortable restaurant, good location (located on a main street). our service (we came to dinner) was nice, the two women who run the dining room were very friendly and efficient. eating was amazing, simple concept, but good-done, almost as if her mother made it! I ordered the slowly baked bark meat and others on my table had lamb, salmon and cod. all were delicious. highly recommended for anyone who needs a delicious, warm food."
