Lovely pub and lovely decor . If you like lagers or ciders, great choice. If you like your ales ? Not the pub for you . Staff are very friendly.

"There were just a handful of diners for our lunch time meal at the Clockspire which has a large open dining room. The cavernous space was cold and lacked atmosphere, exacerbated by so few fellow travellers. Staff were attentive without being intrusive. The kitchen offers fine dining and yet most of our dishes were over seasoned with salt very prominent. Portions were tiny and relatively expensive, as were wines. Overall the restaurant fails to offer value for money, and we are unlikely to return in the near future. "We had evening meal here on a Monday night . We booked a table but there was plenty of room anyway. I found plenty of vegetarian options a but settled on the Sunday roast vegetarian version. The prices were about average for the area around £17 for a main course. The service was good and the staff were polite and cheerful. The pub has a thatched roof and the car park is large. I have no hesitation in recommending this pub for a good meal."
