Called in as was over seeing family who live local and we couldn’t travel back to the Wirral without having had Grimsby fish and chips. They were due to close in 15 minutes but never felt rushed. Made us 2 small portions of fish, freshly battered and cooked to order, chips, peas and curry sauce. Fish was awesome, lightly battered perfect white tasty flaky fish. We called in for tea around 4pm and both had fish,chips mushy peas.The chips were fine, peas a rather small portion but the fish was no were near the quality of previous visits ?? Fish was grey and firm not white/flakey as usual.Will orobably leave it a while before returning...Shame really. View all feedback.
