Bought a Groupon voucher for a afternoon tea for two. When it arrived we were more than disappointed to say the least. Sandwiches which looked like they had been cut with a spoon, one small scone cut in half to share covered in cheap margarine , a dry small lemon sponge cake and two stale and inedible jam tarts. I just had a decent enough black coffee. The food I saw other people have, was generous in portion size and look appetising.

"Had a great night here. Lovely atmosphere inside, with kind and helpful staff. We had the vegan options, which were tasty. Not really a vegan dessert available, but the staff were kind enough to give us free coffees to make up for it. Note that this place doesn't serve alcohol, but they have some nice mocktails available."

"My family of four went today for brunch and most of the menu was unavailable which is fine, we chose from the few available options. We then waited for 50minutes for our food. The chef started shouting loudly in front of everyone (including lots of children and babies): “I’ve had enough of this f ing place, it’s the same every f ing week” and so on. Our food turned up eventually and it was all stone cold. The pancakes were actually raw inside and inedible. I now understand why this was the only place for food in Saffron Walden without a queue round the block. We will not return."
