Contribute Feedback What Jonny I likes about Wheatsheaf:
Visited with family. We had a baby with us, they were really accommodating. Sunday roast was a carvery and was outstanding. Three meats to choose from and, all great. Veg was limited to 3 options but cooked really well and the Yorkshire puddings and stuffing was great. Desserts were all home made and great portions. Outstanding value and a really good experience. What Wendy M doesn't like about Wheatsheaf:
The worst service I have ever experienced. Over 30 minutes for the food to come out, rather greasy and lacking taste. The barman and the waitress spent most of the time talking, we had to interrupt them to get more drinks. Table not cleared and no one came to ask if we wanted dessert. Watched one gentleman having to collect his own cutlery and condiments in order to be able to eat his meal! The waitress and bar staff... View all feedback.
Richard and Val doing an excellent job with the Wheatshief, food is home cooked so deliciousespecially Val's steak pie best I've ever had would definitely recommend a meal here. Also has Sunday carvers and that was fantastic too xxx
Called for the first time since the place has been renovated and the new owner has taken. Very good looking for place now and very friendly host. Excellent beer and excellent food. I only had fish and chips, but it was very good. Other people, at the same time were making similar comments of satisfaction.
After visiting a large garden city we decided to stop on the way home.
I had a very calming mid-week meal and received a warm and friendly welcome.
We went there for my birthday and at first I was worried that we were the only people in the restaurant all night and the decoration is a little tired. . However, it compensates with a very friendly service and fantastic food. This place deserves to be more transited. Jack the parrot is also very nice!
