Known for its friendly and attentive staff, fast service, and delicious food, this little southern diner offers fantastic prices compared to other locations. Seafood lovers will especially appreciate the three-way seafood combination platter and the small seafood cellar, while those with a sweet tooth will enjoy the homemade cookies and pies. Despite the potential for long lines, customers agree that the wait is well worth it for the excellent experience at Hoskins Restaurant.
We visited the Hoskins restaurant for the first time yesterday. Mike ordered the small seafood cellar he loved, and I ordered the small oyster plate slightly baked and slightly roasted. I have to say that they were the best I've ever tried. The service was also top Notch. Holly was very friendly and efficient. The food came hot and fast. I would recommend this restaurant to everyone
A great place for breakfast, lunch or dinner. If in North Myrtle Beach, look for the golf cars. There is usually a line to reach (which is a sign of a good restaurant). The line is moving fast. The friendly and competent staff can help to provide helpful order tips. We went to breakfast and the quality of food was great. The amount of food was more than expected. The Omelet was great, like the local Pommes. The homemade cookies were a treat. Service Great food Will a recurring customer!
That was a great find in North Myrtle Beach. It was close, so we could go, and we didn't have to wait long to sit. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the food was amazing. I would recommend staying here if you're ever in town. We might have to go back.
Sweet little southern diner. The prices were fantastic, especially compared to what I used to be in New York. They took no adjustments of orders very well. But the service was fast, the food was good. Besides the coffee and we'll probably be back.
Went here because I wanted seafood (well, scallops specifically) and it was rated so high on Google. We almost didn 't go in because there was a line for lunch on Saturday at 1pm. But, we decided to wait and glad we did. The line moved quickly and it was shaded. Service was quick even though the server immediately told us it would be a minute before she got to us. It wasn 't that long at all. I had the pick two seafood platter, got broiled flounder and scallops. My boyfriend got the fried flounder filet. Kids got seafood platters and chicken tenders. I got the large platter so I would have leftovers for dinner. Everything was great! I believe it was one of the owners that came around and asked if everything was good and pointed out the homemade tarter and cocktail sauces on the table. I tried both and they were great. The place has a diner feel and website says they have been around since 1948 and family owned. You can feel this vibe here, and everyone was super friendly. The place was packed the whole time we were there! The line had dissapated by the time we left but that 's probably because they close at 2:30 and reopen for dinner at 4:30. Glad we decided to stop here and would recommend this place if you are looking for a low key place with seafood and options for people who don 't like seafood.
