What Westononthemove likes about Commodore Carvery:
Went to Kewstoke for the Scarecrow walk as we only live in WSM. And had seen that this Hotel Bar had been taken over. Wow absolutely fantastic facelift. So much cleaner and welcoming. Only wanted a quick drink sandwich, as it was lunchtime but unfortunately it’s just meals. This didn’t put my husband off though. : he had the fish cake sandwich, it came piping hot with fries and a small bowl of salad. I had the salad... View all feedback.

What jezchef doesn't like about Commodore Carvery:
Spent one night, hotel a little dated but clean. Very comfortable bed and pillows. Evening meal we choose f&c. Great for £10.50. Had a nice pint(s) of Atlantic pale. Location is ideal for watching a sunset on the beach which is 30 metres away, or a morning run through the surf in barefoot. I’ll be returning soon. Thanks. jezchef View all feedback.

Prices for all items on menu way over the top. Quality nothing special . Staff very good and attentive. Decor good and fresh.

"The location is beautiful, high up on the hill with a great view. But even if you can’t nab a table with the view, it’s a welcoming, open and relaxing place to be , with great food and friendly service. We went with friends for a birthday breakfast it was fresh, very nicely cooked and top quality ingredients. Highly recommended."

"I've been here a few times. Very different from any other main power strip in Cardiff. The secret entrance and the exclusive Tsble service are all very cool. The staff is really friendly and nothing is too much trouble for them. The atmosphere is dark, atmospheric, interesting and cool with low light in the bar, candles and small lamps against dark walls and floor with many odds on the walls and quirky art decisions. Loading comfortable small chairs all furnished in small intimate groups, perfect for a date or a group of friends. The bar is something to see the selection of spirits, ingredients and finish touchs on the drinks is huge and of very high quality, this is a serious cocktail-knife choice! The menus are topics (currently dragons), the thought that has gone into every aspect of this experience is huge. You can ask for any cocktail you want or simply give them a theme or an idea and they make you a custom drink! Music volume is so perfect for a chat and there is usually a mixture of chilled eclectic music through the decades. Beverage prices are on the high side, but you buy the experience and exclusivity. Very good recomend, book a table on busy nights."
