3 of us often meet here. the reason why we do is that eating is a cut above normal pub chain food. I was recently at the prince of wales jarrow and there is no comparison. I had makkaroni cheese with a beautiful dressed salate. the salat in the prince of wales was plain salat. great service and welcome from the staff espe ially the lady I also spoke. I'm the old guy with white hair.

"For my birthday this year my dad treated me to afternoon tea with my sister, 2 nephews and niece. It was lovely. After arriving at the White Swan centre it doesn't look like there is anywhere from the outside. But once you are in the room it is lovely. The afternoon tea was so lovely and the china cups added that little extra. I will be back. Thanx"

"My quest for a great Chinese takeout in Whitley is complete! Portions are generous (you should have seen the amount of ribs we received as an appetizer), sauces flavourful and food was piping hot when collected. Huge fan of the duck. Szechuan chicken was very pleasant too, though an extra chilli or two wouldn't go amiss. We will be returning. Probably very soon."

"Pop in regular when im in wallsend for a take out bacon sarnie...big and beautiful just like me missus. My laddie loves the place... Friendly and accomodating and gets a good regular buisness for there sunday dinners. Good grub"
