"Had lunch here while staying at Northbrook Farmstay just out of town and food was sooo good! So fresh and delicious! We also took one of Nic's famous vanilla slices to have later and it is definitely one of the very best he have ever had. So needless to say we revisited every day for a fresh one. Thanks ladies"

"It was fantastic. It has a great outside area to enjoy potato cakes or ice creams. Watch the activity of the village. It had a good supply of goods available. The staff are nice and the ambience of the place is great."

"I was dragged in here by my son James, a resident of the town who appeared to be well known by the staff! We had a few beers which were found to be of good quality, well chilled, and fit for consumption by the good...folk of Northampton. I drank Swan Draft followed by Great Northern largers but most welcome on a warm day. I enjoyed my visit and will return (several times). "All round great meals, although the steak is a bit pricey. Great environment to meet new people, however the current staff are quite unreasonable. My friend told the chef that his steak was under cooked and because of that the chef told the bar maids to stop serving him drinks."

"Stopped by for a few after driving all day from Albany. Was met by a warm fire and friendly hosts. The young bloke had a chicken parmie the size of his head. He didn't finish it, but they were only too happy to pack it for lunch. Have stopped here before and never have been disappointed. Great pub grub."
